Yamauchi is the best of the opponents for the predicted winners. Out of the three, Chandler should make the biggest impact. Chandlers victory over Yamauchi, even if it comes by decision, would be the biggest statement based on quality of victory alone. He has displayed some of the best grappling on Bellators roster and previously was one of the best fighters in his division, well on his way to fighting for the title. The fight is made to give Chandler the edge.
One of the most underrated aspects of Conors makeup as a fighter is his phenomenal ability to take a shot and I dont believe that Masvidal will be able to get the finish here, but I can see this fights competitiveness peaking at around the third-round before Jorge begins to put some real damage on a diminished McGregor in the championship rounds.
Zabit (17-1), has proven himself to be a very unique fighter, switching between high-flying kicks to latching on submissions just like his Dagestan counterparts. In Zabits last bout his uniqueness was almost nullified by Jeremy Stephens, however Stephens has the knockout power that Zabit wanted to avoid still Zabit picked up the win and his unbeaten in 13 fights stemming back to 2013.
The former YouTube street fighting sensation has produced memorable performances inside of the Octagon throughout his six-year UFC career, but nothing like what Gamebred has done over the past four months, having knocked out Darren Till in the first round and then Askren in just five seconds earlier this month. Masvidal, who entered UFC back in 2013, has never been more popular than he is now.
I've bashed thePhiladelphia 76ers a little bit, as a team with all this talent shouldn't be this inconsistent. With that said, the Hawks letdown last night probably had some lookahead factor to it and the 76ers need this game to kind of lock up the third seed in the East. The Milwaukee Bucks are winning still, but half their roster seems to either be banged up or in rest mode for the playoffs. It's hard to figure out which 76ers team you're going to get on a nightly basis. This could be one...
However, thats what the team is facing down the stretch. The Lakers will need an incredible finish to have a shot at the postseason, and that trek needs to begin this week against the Los Angeles Clippers. When the season began it was nearly unthinkable to consider the Los Angeles Lakers would miss the playoffs after acquiring LeBron James in free agency.
The Warriors won both of their home games, but Game 1 could have gone either way, so the Rockets will be quietly confident here. The Warriors have yet to really dominate the Rockets as both of their wins were by four and six points respectively, and the Rockets are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings. With the Rockets winning both of their home games to level the series, the pressure is back on the Warriors to win in their own building.
Arte is taking his fight against Mike Rodriguez on short notice after Gian Villante was forced to withdraw; Turman is going up against Karl Roberson, who looked great against Glover Teixeira before getting submitted; and Brianna Van Buren is largely untested, with the only recognizable name on her resume being Kailan Curran, who struggled mightily during her UFC tenure. The experience of fighting under the bright lights is something all three newbies will be able to carry with them through...
Of course, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has not made this grudge match official Covington just competed at UFC on FOX 5 this past weekend, grinding out a dominant and lopsided decision win over former division champion, Robbie Lawler (highlights). However, Usman who is undefeated inside the Octagon (10-0) was sitting ringside inside Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and, of course, he was not impressed.
His style is the same as Usmans as well; he pushes a pace that no one can match, hes one of the best wrestlers in the entire sport, and he strikes mainly to get into range so he can look for a takedown, but also has very good striking ability. Covington not only defeated Demian Maia before Usman did, but he also defeated Rafael dos Anjos before Usman did. Its time to give Covington his shot.
